Censor number plate

This tutorial will teach you how to censor a number plate. You can use this effect hide the characters of a number plates. This is useful if you don’t want anyone knowing your car registration number. I have used a free stock image of a car which is available from: www.everystockphoto.com

Censor number plate

Step 1

Open the image you wish to censor the number plate of.




Step 2

Select the Rectangular Marquee tool or the Polygonal Lasso tool and make a selection around the area you want to censor like below:




Step 3

Now select Filter > Pixelate > Mosaic. I have used 10 for the cell size, but you can experiment with the cell size to get the effect you wish.




You should now have a censor number plate.
