Retouching car parts

Tuesday, December 27, 2011 · 0 comments

In this Photoshop car tutorial you will learn how to retouch car parts in Photoshop. This will allow you to remove parts of the car you don’t want. There are many ways to achieve this effect, but I will be using the clone stamp tool to remove the front grill in this tutorial.

Retouching car parts

Step 1

Open an image of a car in Photoshop.

Step 2

Choose the area of the image you want to retouch and then select Clone Stamp Tool from the toolbox. Hold down the Alt key on the keyboard to take a colour sample. The colour sample should be an area on the image where you want the colour to be replaced.

Step 3

Carefully paint over the areas of the image you want to retouch. If you make a mistake, you can retake the sample and paint the area again. It’s best to work with a small section at a time, and to keep retaking the sample using the Alt key. After you have retouched the image it should look something like below.
